HVAC Duct Service Technician
The AMI Duct Cleaner Service Technician position is responsible for service to customers by providing cleaning of duct systems, providing basic duct maintenance, and performing duct inspections in commercial and residential homes.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and solve duct cleaning issues in a professional, efficient manner
- Clean and sanitize air ducts and dryer/hood vents
- Proficient with duct cleaning equipment
- Performs preventative maintenance on duct systems
- Monitors air systems and replace filers as needed
- Solid understanding of residential/commercial ductwork and venting
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues, provide solutions and discuss pricing.
- Perform camera inspections as needed
- Ability to follow instruction
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Following adherence to safety and compliance requirements
- Maintain orderly workflow according to changing priorities
- Establishing and maintaining positive interactions with others
- Work cooperatively with team
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Attendance and scheduling are critical; good attendance record is a must!
- Experience working in a plumbing related field is highly preferred
- Organized, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
- Work independently as needed to complete work
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Good driving record is required
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass drug and background screening
- Authorized to work in USA
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires interaction with people in an outside environment, at commercial locations or inside customer’s homes. Primary responsibilities require bending, stretching, reaching, ability to lift/move/push up to 25 lbs. or more on occasion. Must have dexterity with hands to grasp, hold, or move objects in addition to driving on roadways/freeways. Must have the ability to communicate over the phone, over email, and in person.
