Lead Plumber – Residential Construction
The position will be the lead installer responsible for assigned crew members for the installation of Plumbing systems in multi and single family homes.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Plumbing Lead Installer’s role includes but is not limited to:
- Installation of Plumbing systems under the supervision of New Construction Plumbing Field Sup/Manager
- Having a complete understanding of hole drilling, trenching, cutting pipe, material fittings, nail plating, and running water lines
- Proficient understanding of design and coordination drawings, code compliance and related design data
- Proficient with all blueprint reading/interpretation
- Working professionally with Contractors
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional work site
- Ability to follow instruction/directives from Field Sup/Manager
- Operates company vehicle—adheres to all AMI’s driving policies
- Ability to train apprentices
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
- Strict adherence to all safety and compliance requirements
- Maintaining an orderly workflow according to priorities
- Establishing and maintaining positive, professional interactions with others/crew members
- Participate in required meetings/trainings
- Meeting deadlines on projects or assignments as directed by Sup/Manager
- Working cooperatively with team
- Follow all AMI Standards of Excellence for job completions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Proven working experience in Plumbing new construction
Work meets all AMI’s standards of Excellence
Able to manage team members and adhere to deadlines
Ability to be proactive with regards to future plumbing construction issues
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills with team members
Able to troubleshoot and problem-solve
Works independently and complete projects according to deadlines
Solidi understanding of information on blueprints
Strong work ethic with attention to detail
Maintain and exhibit the highest level of professionalism
Must have a good driving record and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Authorized to work in the USA
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires interaction with people in an outside environment or at job sites. Primary responsibilities require bending, stretching, reaching, and dexterity with hands to grasp, hold, or move objects in addition to driving on roadways/freeways at times. Must have the ability to determine distances and use muscles to occasionally lift, push, pull or carry objects. Must be able to communicate over the phone, over email, and in person.
